Requirements For a Production
In order to produce an effective advert that will get the product sold you will have to keep certain things in mind; technical equipment, potential filming locations, actors and actresses and costumes and props. Having all of these things in mind and dealt with means that if done correctly, your advert will be entertaining, eye catching and effective.
Technical Equipment
In order to make this production we are going to need; a camera, a microphone and an editing programme (Final Cut Express). To get this equipment we are going to need to hire them from a shop which will roughly come around to £300. We aim to shoot this advert over the course of a week. Each day, we aim to do around 4 hours of filming and going through the footage to make sure that everything that we filmed is good.
Potential Filming Locations
Due to the nature of each advert, if we are going to use one advert we will have to use my shed or if we choose another advert idea we will have to shoot in central park. Obviously i do not need permission to film in my shed, perhaps only other members of the house to make sure that it is okay. For other people to get to my house it is a number 5 bus from anywhere. However we will have to be careful there as there are a lot of things left lying around in my shed like nails etc. To get permission to film over at central park we will have to write a letter to the council to make sure it is okay. To get there i will have to get any bus from my house e.g. 5, 175. A problem we may face by filming there is it may be bus or raining, so the equipment may get damaged if not taken care of properly.
Actors and Actresses
In order to make our advert we are going to need males around 17-18. To find our actors or actresses we will invite some friends that we know are good actors to come and act a scene for us and we will decide who is best for the part. Obviously if we get a well known actor we will have to pay them an agreed amount of money that we will talk to them about. Hopefully this will get them to do a good job since they are getting paid. To make this advert we will not need to include any members of the public but if we did, we will write a disclaimer to get their permission.
Costumes and Props
To make the advert we will need; hairdos, table, chair, casual clothes and a bag. To get all of these we will need to visit a shop that facilitates all of the products such as a supermarket. We will store these products in my house as we are going to film in my shed which will be the easiest option. We will spend around £300 to gain all of these products.
